Karnataka CET 2013-14 exam notification

Karnataka CET 2013-14 exam notification-Karnataka state examination authority has issued a notification for Common entrance test (CET) that is going to be conducted every year by the government of Karnataka every year in the month of may for the admission of students to the undergraduate courses such as Medical/Dental, Ayurveda,Homeopathy,Unani,Naturopathy and yoga(ISMH),Architecture and engineering technology.

Every year lacs of aspirants will going to write the exam to get into undergraduate courses.Last date of receipt of application form is 05/04/2013.
Eligibility:
These are the minimum requirements candidates need to have to write the CET examination.

For Medical / Dental:Candidates should have Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 50% Marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects.(40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3Aand 3B category)

In CET candidates should have to obtained minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in PCB Subjects(40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B,3Aand 3B category).

For allotting Rank In CET only PCB marks in CET taken into consideration.

 For Ayurveda,Homoeopathy,Unani, Naturopathy and Yoga (ISM & H):Candidates should have Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 50% Marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects.(40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3Aand 3B category) 

No Minimum Marks prescribed in CET

For allotting Rank in CET by taking marks in equal proportions in 12 th or PUC and CET in PCB subjects.

 For Engineering / Technology:Candidates should have passed

Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std with English as one of the 

Languages and obtained a Minimum of 45% Marks in aggregate 

in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-

Technology/ Biology/ Electronics / Computer.

(40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3Aand 3B category)

No Minimum Marks prescribed in CET

For allotting Rank in CET by taking marks in equal proportions in 12 th or PUC and CET in PCM subjects.

 For Architecture:Candidates should have Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std with Mathematics as Compulsory optional subject and obtained a Minimum of 50% Marks in aggregate in all the subjects.

(45% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3Aand 3B category)

In CET candidates need to get minimum of 40% Marks in NATA for all categories of students including SC, ST and Other Backward Classes.

For allotting Rank in CET by taking marks obtained in all subjects in Qualifying Examination and NATA taken in equal proportions.

Application form:

For Karnataka students:Brochure cum application form will be sent the colleges within Karnataka, students who are pursuing 12th or II PUC need to obtain the application form from the respective colleges after 08/03/2013 by paying RS 650/-(Rs 500/- for SC/ST/CAT-I) and students have to fill the application and submit the application to respective colleges and they will sent to KEA.
Outside Karnataka:Candidates origin in Karnataka and residing outside Karnataka may remit Rs 750/- through 878333780 through NEFT/IFSC code IDIB000M010 at the Indian bank Malleswaram Branch, Bangalore and send an e-mail to Administrative Officer, KEA at keauthority-ka@nic.in in the prescribed format hosted on the website http://kea.kar.nic.in for obtaining CET 2013 brochure. Filled-in Application Form will have to be e-mailed to Administrative Officer, Karnataka Examinations Authority @ keauthority-ka@nic.in and the hard copy of the ink signed Application Form with photograph of the Applicant be sent to Administrative Officer, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Malleshwaram, 18th Cross, Sampige Road, Bangalore-560 012 on or before 5th April 2013
